How do we support Schneider Electric in the DACH Region in leveraging the company's HR resources?
Before Worksmile
With over 6,000 employees working in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the company faced a challenge:
- How to provide these employees with an easy way to access all important HR information;
- No central or digital platform to ensure benefit information management;
- Sharing information with employees about their benefits and compensation – all ensuring to reach employees from the production sites.
- Complicated, manual processes around benefit application.
After Worksmile
Schneider Electric employees in Germany, Austria and Switzerland use the Benefits, Requests and approvals modules and TRS feature. Also, the Shortcuts feature has made it possible to integrate Worksmile with other important HR tools and links.
- Using the Worksmile platform as the main source of sharing benefit and compensation information transparently, simply and digitially – a central hub for all HR information.
- Modules available in web and mobile apps ensuring access also for production employees.
- Simple SSO login making the tool available to all at any time.
- Interface with the Payroll SAP system ensured more efficient processes especially with benefit applications and upload of employee information.

How was the platform developed for Schneider Electric in the DACH Region?
The Worksmile platform is available to Schneider Electric employees in the DACH Region - Germany, Austria, and Switzerland!
3 platforms in 3 countries
The implementation of the Worksmile platform at Schneider Electric in the DACH Region needed to be flexible and adapt to the complex processes and information management, as well as ensure an easy login process and accessibility for employees.
Although the initial implementation in Switzerland took about 6 months, thanks to the experience gained, the next countries, Austria and Germany, were implemented much faster – within 3 months.
Each platform operates independently in each of the different countries, however, they all have the same features and modules. This ensures equality and consistency for all employees, regardless of their location. The platform is also available in English, German and French ensuring a great user experience.
Easy access for all office and production employess
SSO login made it easier for Schneider Electrics employees in the DACH Region to use Worksmile. They don’t need to remember extra passwords.
The mobile app also makes the platform easy to access. This also means that all HR information is made easily available to production employees who do not have daily access to a computer – they can access the platform via their private device at any time!
Over 200 requests from Schneider Electric employees in the DACH Region were submitted within the first 10 months of launching the platform!
Simple requests for benefits, leave and all entitlements
Employees can now apply for all benefits digitally via the Worksmile platform. This makes managing them easier and gives employees direct access and transparency.
In Switzerland, the benefit requests are also configured to go through several approval levels (through Managers and HR Business Partners). Austria and Germany will also configure this feature soon. This streamlines administrative tasks, makes the experience completely digital and helps to reduce waiting times for employee queries.
Shortcut access to information
Thanks to the “Shortcuts” feature in Worksmile, Schneider Electric employees in the DACH Region have quick access to all of the important HR information – all available in one place!
This means employees can quickly find what they need – company policy details, guides on benefits and entitlements, links to internal company tools. This feature simplifies using different systems and makes switching between them smoother and ensures a simple user experience.
Full transparency with an overview of total compensation - Total Reward Statement
Total Reward Statements (TRS) in Worksmile is a game changer. The feature is accessible on both web and mobile apps and gives employees an easy and digital overview of their compensation package. TRS lets employees track their salaries, bonuses, and other benefits.
This leads to a better understanding and appreciation of what Schneider Electric offers them and such transparency builds trust and aligns with the company’s values.
